Ronald Tindal's grave is in Hungen Cemetery, Hesse. After the war it was cared for by a Scottish artist living in Hungen castle called James Pitcairn-Knowles. A 'Missing Research and Enquiries Unit' report into the plane crash and victims was made by Squadron Leader JH Sanderson in 1947. It ends 'Knowles has induced the population of the village to erect a stone over Tindal's grave, giving his name, date and place of birth and the phrase "Germans to an Englishman"'.
