I am trying to find a baptism record for my Great x 2 Grandfather called James Conroy who was born circa 1829. I have come across a record which states that he was born in 'Cumberland, Branton.' His parents were James and Mary Conroy. They were Roman Catholic so he may have been baptised in an RC Church. However, one of his sister's was baptised in an Anglican Church (in Chatton) for some reason, so it is possible that he may have had an Anglican baptism. His father was a travelling besom/basket maker and was from Ireland originally. Can anyone help with this, please?
