James Evans - Ireland

Hi There,

Can you point me in the right direction. I have traced my Evans family from Campbelltown/Inverkip and Irvine. The family then seem to have come over from Ireland.
James Evans born 1803 Ireland, died 1875 in Irvine and his wife Mary Ann Whiteford born 1807 Ireland, died 1873 Irvine. Their son John born 1845 Irvine died 1893 Inverkip. 

On looking at other family tree of the same family it looks as though James and Mary Ann were married in Belfast in 1827.
I have looked at the Emerald Ancestors website and the dates don't seem to go back as far as that.
Can you tell me any god websites I can search for this in.

You've posted in IRELAND RESOURCES which is not for queries. Just click on 'report to moderator' and ask this to be moved to ANTRIM board where Belfast queries belong.

I wouldn't yet be too sure about the accuracy of that online tree (husband 4 years older than wife is a default setting in some programs). An LDS tree gives different details saying marriage before 1827, etc.-

Apologies I have Just notest my miss type this was supposed to say any good websites that would give me this information. I was also interested if anyone has any information on movement between Scotland and Ireland before 1841 as I always assumed the name Evans would go back to wales but the family seem to have come over from Ireland.  Please trail below.
