Amos Family Foleshill

Is anyone researching the Amos family from Foleshill ?.....Beatrice Nellie Amos married Stanley Robinson at Coventry in 1929.......trying to find out if they had any children......and where and when Stanley's parents died......they were Charles and Lizzie Robinson, originally from Grantham in Lincolnshire.....I cannot find their deaths anywhere, and wonder if they moved to Coventry at some point........any help appreciated........Del.

FreeBMD has four births with the surname Robinson, mother's maiden name Amos, in Coventry between 1929 and 1945, but I won't name them in case they're still alive.

Looks like a son born in Coventry in 1932, with a number of marriages to choose from.

Thank you......yes have seen those births and it does look like they could be Stanley and Beatrice's children, but yes they could still be alive......Stanley died in 1969 and Beatrice in 1978, but I am rather stuck on his parents, there is nothing in the Grantham area on them after 1911.......Del.

There's a death registered for a Charles Robinson born c 1873 in Coventry in the June Quarter of 1938. Does that help?

Lizzie or Elizabeth?

What were their respective birthyears as Robinson is a very common surname

Re: the 1938 death.  If children were born up to 1945 as per reply above it can't be your Charles

Have you checked the 1939 register for them?

O.k......Just to clarify.......Charles Robinson was born 1873 at Grantham.......Lizzie Herd /Heard was born Grantham 1876......they married and had son Stanley, born  1903 at Grantham.....I have them up to 1911, but nothing after that.....in 1939 son Stanley is at Coventry, married to Beatrice Nellie Amos....it crossed my mind that Charles, Lizzie and son Stanley could have moved there at some point, although of course they could have gone anywhere, and son Stanley married at Coventry, because that is where Beatrice was from........Charles and Lizzie are well know on the Lincolnshire forum, with no luck regarding their deaths, so  thought widening the net might bring some results........Del.

Just an addition to the last post.....We believe that Lizzie Robinson was still alive in 1930, as she attended the funeral of her step-father John Ayto, at Great Gonerby, near Grantham.....I cannot find Charles or Lizzie on the 1939 register, that is how we, or rather someone else, found Stanley in Coventry........Del.
