Hugh Jamieson born 1795 Newton, Midlothian
« on: Friday 09 September 16 00:27 BST (UK) »
This is my husband's gg grandfather, but I can't find out anything about him. His daughter, Jean (Jane) Carson Jamieson married James Bruce and they immigrated to New Zealand. Hugh was married to Janet Peebles. They did have quite a few more children.

Thanks, I have that and I know he was a miner and died from cholera, but don't know parents. There are some Hugh Jamieson's around, but it's trying to get the right one.

Thanks Rosie, my main problem is in Scotlandspeople, is finding which Birth is his, or  if any of them are, so I was hoping someone might know.
