Thank you all for your repairs to Grandma Maisie, I remember her with grey then snow white hair,
but with the dark hair she was a very good looking young lady.

Treetotal, have a reasonably elderly scanner/printer and it says scan at 300 dpi but have just redone the photo and rt clicked onto properties which say= Horizontal Resolution 96 and vertical the same
so will try scanning at a higher resolution and see where that ends up, probably time to replace it with a newer model.

 Hi Heather,  Your Grandmother was beautiful. The dark shadows down her back made me think she had long hair in this photo. I've given it a classical soft look with some pastel colours.   ,Tommy

Thank you tommy, now that you mention it she always had a bun at the back of her neck and have a photo of her daughter aged a wee bit younger than this photo and she also had a fine head of long hair.   Seems to have skipped my generation though, just inherited the early grey/white genes!
