Queens Road Cemetery Walthamstow
« on: Tuesday 01 November 16 18:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,
Can anyone help please. After 8 years of searching I today found the burial for Gerald Hugh Pengelly
who died 1924 after contracting TB whilst serving in the Royal Navy.
Gerald was buried at the above cemetery with his brother Graham.

Please if anyone is visiting the cemetery could you take a photograph of their headstone - Section A grave 1406a.

Many thanks

I've found the grave and will put pictures on his memorial page on Find A Grave shortly.

BOGTF offer: As you said, Graham F Pengelly (d 17-Sep-1936 a 34) is also there, plus Dad, Henry O Pengelly (d 7-Dec-1948 a 80). If you'd like to do the honours and create their memorial pages, I'll add photos for them too.

Does anyone have a plan of the cemetery, please? I have the necessary Section and Grave numbers but without a plan I cannot possibly hope to locate some family graves.
With thanks ... in anticipation!

MIs have been recorded by Waltham Forest FHS. They've divided the area into squares which don't fully follow the plot numbering, so it can be difficult working out which square you need, not helped by their having left some gaps between the squares. Also, be aware that many plots have been resold, so your family graves may now have new headstones for the latest occupants.

I've spent some time poring over the maps in the past (not always successfully), so if you have any difficulty, sent me a PM or post the plot numbers here.
