"World End Lane", Orpington Area ?? 1939 **COMPLETED **

Like many of us, I've been trawling through the 1939 Register.

My Morleys turned up in the Orpington area, as expected, and I tried to figure out their address, one letter at a time.
The street came up as "World End Lane" . . just wondering where it might be in the area - is it still there? (possibly not - google Maps didn't seem to know.)

Still there, comes under Green Street Green. It runs from the High Street to Chelsfield Hill.

Thanks, Jan, I should have looked at that Green Street Green area a bit better - that's where she lived before she married.

Now to look at the sister in Bromley - let's see if I can do this on my own!

No problem - sort of my neck of the woods, I have a cousin who lives in Green Street Green.

Yes, got the sister - probably because no typos!

I'm very fond of Kent, though it's the seaside I know - I learnt to swim in Ramsgate swimming pool in the1950s on holidays. And I love Canterbury.
