Jacob Wray b1851 Leverton, who is his wife

have found Jacob at various addresses in Boston, Witham green and later at St Johns Rd, he was employed as dock foreman, and married ( I assume) to a Sophia, but who is she, I cannot find a marriage, she says that she is from East Ville on one census and Langrick on another. the nearest I have for a surname is Mears as there was a Sophia Mears  living in Witham Green at the same time as Jacob but its only a wild shot,
   any ideas

Using the new gro index (www.gro.gov.uk) you should be able to find the maiden name of mother of the children. That might give you a head start looking for a marriage or for more about Sophie
