Marsh Green House (Ditton) Widnes
« on: Monday 05 December 16 06:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi, While looking up Cronton Hall in Widnes my ancestors owned in 1621, I came across another property of which I have never heard of before or locate.

Marsh Green House in Ditton

From what I can make out a John Wright lived in Marsh Green House in Ditton. When he died in 1718 he left it to his brother Francis's children, John Wright and Mary Sankey.

Any help would be very much appreciated in finding out more information about this building.

Cheers,
Phil

The people of Ditton ( I live 5 miles away ) have used Hale Church for centuries - contact Ralph Mills to see if he has a map where Marsh Green House was in the vicinity of Hale - Ditton Marsh starts at Hale Village boundary

Thanks Heather for the link to the map it is great, I found Cronton Hall on it  :).  However could not find the Marsh Green House though (unless it went by another name). Garstonite thanks for the link, I will see how I go with contacting Mr Mills.

Your help is very much appreciated  :).

Cheers,
Phil
