Marriage assistance - ALLMOND

This is the first time I've ventured north of the border with family research.

Primarily, I am looking for the marriage of  Douglas Allan Fraser ALLMOND b 1912 in Devon.   Douglas served in the Royal Indian Navy and appears to have been in Bombay (he's in the Navy Lists of 1933 and 1935).   Douglas died in 1941 and his memorial shows his wife as Elizabeth Millar ALLMOND of Rothesay, Buteshire.   There is a record of Douglas returning to India in 1936 and a record of an Elizabeth ALLMOND travelling to Bombay in 1937 with a UK address of Beechwood, Skelmorlie, Ayrshire.

Would it be possible to see whether there is a marriage for Douglas somewhere around 1935/6 please.   There are some Ancestry trees suggesting that Elizabeth is actually Elizabeth Millar McARTHUR, but I have absolutely nothing to corroborate this.

If Elizabeth travelled to Bombay as Allmond in 1937 - it would suggest she married him after that date - probably in Bombay

SP have a death Elizabeth Milla* Allmond , 1980 , Isle of Bute , Bute , age 61.

Also a marriage Elizabeth Milla* McARTHUR(Allmond) / Graham Nicol Murray , 1956 , Rothesay , Bute.

Nothing odd about it. When a widowed or divorced woman re-marries in Scotland, the marriage is indexed under her maiden surname as well as her previous married surname.
