Hi there,

Does anyone have any information and supporting documentation on the Barnard Family and particularly in relation to Hendrik Barnard (Bernard) b.1744 in Swellendam, South Africa?

The records we have so far found seem incomplete and in some cases contradictory.

If you are able share or provide any supporting information on Hendrik Barnard (Bernard) b.1744 it would be very much appreciated and save us scratching our heads. The documents I am looking for include birth, baptism, marriage and death certificates.

Many thanks and kind regards
Brendan

His 1768 marriage record (1st wife) is on familysearch: Dutch Reformed Church, Cape Town Archives 1660-1970, Stellenbosch Marriages 1700-1788 image 27 of 39 "Hendrik Barnhard" and "Magdalena Bota"
The baptism records for their children are also on familysearch.
His second wife was Elizabeth Maria Vosloo - her 1849 will (filed 1851) is in the Cape Town archives: KAB MOOC vol.7/1/204 sys.01 ref.15 part 1
