My George's children were Martin b.1818, John b.1820 and Elizabeth b.1825. They were all baptised at All Saints, Lewes. He died in 1862 in Lewes.
The George born in Horsted Keynes is probably the one referred to in my previous post and is beginning to look more doubtful for the reasons given in my post.
I can find no further details of the George that was born in East Grinstead in 1796 or the one buried in East Grinstead (St Swithuns) in 1797. If anyone has any further information about that George or any others in the time frame I would be delighted to hear it.
Another source has found a family of Langridges living in Chailey at the right time, namely a John Langridge married to Mary Winter in November 1792 with 4 children, John Martin b.1793, William b.1796, Mary Ann b.1797 and Elizabet b.1800 (but no George!). Any further information of this family would also bee much appreciated.
Too many Langridges, too many Georges but not enough records!
