Birth in France

I have hit  a brick wall I have been trying to find my great great grandfather birth in France. I have his marriage certificate . His name was Henry Hosier it reads Henry Hosier born France 1859 . British subject father George Hosier bricklayer . Any help would be greatfulley appreciate thank you

Hi Amanda

The best place to start is with the British embassies and consul records of birth, marriages and deaths. The records are on ancestry. If you look at some of yesterday's postings, someone has asked about the same records and info on other places to look are also on there
