Yep I think that's correct Rolnora. Definite confusion in the records re the spelling of Pilson ( or pilston or pelson ) which doesn't help any searches.

Poor Ellen was more than likely farmed out as a servant at a young age after both parents died. I'm sure I'll find more info about the parents of her mum Margaret & dad James when I have more time to get stuck into it.
