Much of the technical stuff is beyond me, I'm afraid but as the OP (is that original poster or old person?
), I have used a Kodak P461 Photo Scanner, in order to scan the slide in the provided carriage mount, and the jpg arriving on my Mac desktop gives 1200dpi. There's been no attempt to re-size, increase or decrease the dpi on the image that I emailed to Andy.
