MCLEAN, William 1747

Hi there!

I'm looking for any information on William McLean, born around 1747 in Croy and Dalcross, Inverness, Scotland.
He married Isobel Fraser, born 1759, and they had a son Hector McLean in 1791.

I am specifically looking for his parents names so that I can continue my family tree.
I have found an entry in an old parish register which suggests his fathers name was Hector but that's as far as I have gotten.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Records for that period are basically non existent in that area.

Unfortunately both William & Isobel would have died pre statutory deaths in 1855 i.e it will be hard to find info.

What was Williams occupation & where was son Hector born?

Was a specific area mentioned?

Son Hector was born in the same area; Croy and Dalcross, Inverness, Scotland.
I have no other information on William unfortunately.
