Ive got Emanuels link confirmed he was born 1847, Greenbooth, Rochdale, ......Ive just got his bcert and it has a name crossed out and the name Emanuel written underneath and he seems to be down as possibly Edmund on the 1851 census, and he was in the army by 1871 and also stayed in Fleetwood around that time but there is little else I can find on him
