« on: Sunday 05 February 17 17:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi my friends grandfather was wounded at the above battle and again at 3rd Ypres  while serving with 2nd Batt KOSB, i have managed to find a record for his wounding at Ypres but nothing on his wounds or which field hospital he may have been  taken to at Falfemont Farm, can anyone point me in the right direction please.. Thanks in advance.

for that information you would need his service/pension records if they still exist.

His records appear to have been destroyed Jim,he was David Alexander 13856, he moved into the MGC after his 3rd Ypres wounding.I posted about him 2years ago but have no joy regarding his second wounding.

OK 2 KOSB were in 13 Bde. 5 Div.
Their RAMC support was 13 Field Ambulance.
Their diary reads that by 3/9/16 they were stationed at Corbie (The Citadelle).
There is mention of CCS's 36 & 38 with 21 CCS being the closest to the date.
They were taking in so many casualties that all further cases (after 3/9/16) were to be taken to the Corps rest area at Longpre which may have been used as a Field Hospital but I'm not positive about that.
