National Library of Australia - email re card needing renewal

Has anyone else got an email from the National Library saying that their card needs renewing?  It gives a reasonable web address and asks you to fill in a blank form.

I didn't click on the link.    Is this a scam of some sort or is it OK ?

Hi Jean,
Best to avoid clicking any links in emails. Go directly to the official website and use nla direct links (as Cando provided) or renew via phone. It never hurts to ask and if it is a scam, then nla is alerted.
Always check the url, as a scam url will not be the legit url. Sometimes the scam url may be obviously different but often they can be very slightly different which in url terms directs you to another site.
Think of it as dialling just one different digit in a phone number, and you connect to a different person.

Thanks for that.   I don't remember having to renew my card and certainly not two years ago.  I'm always reluctant to click on a link in an email.

I've never been asked to renew my card ....

Just try logging in to eResources and it should come up with with a message to renew.  It is very quick and easy.  I have to do mine every 2 years and just did it last week.
