Christian HANSON - Is this convict mine?!
« on: Saturday 25 February 17 00:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi team

I have a Christian HANSON having issue with Mary at St Luke Old St, Finsbury between 1790 - 1801.  Lets say this makes him born about 1768 right, give or take!

I haven't got a baptism or death for him... only a possible marriage to a Mary BEALE in 1785.

I've now found that a Christian HANSON, aged 49 from Middlesex was tried and found guilty of Larceny (He stole 2 pieces of something... I cant read it) on 17th September 1817 and transported.  However it looks like he died before he was transported on 30 June 1818 at a Hospital somewhere, I also cant read it.

Can anyone fill me in on what happened and if its mentioned anywhere about his family so I can link this man to my research...

Many thanks

bitzar.

Where did you find his criminal record? (We might be able to have a look at it to try to decipher those tricky words).  :)

The Hulk Ship register says he died on the 30 June 1818 at Bat ?? Hospital Ship

Haven't a clue what that says, will dig further :)
