Any help with tracing licenced victuallers ( ok cannot spell) appreciated as my husbands father and grandfather ran pubs in kent England.FAIRCLOTH

if you know the names of the pubs they kept then the County Archives should be able to assist you.

Cheshire County Archives were very helpful to me when I enquired of them as to when my Grandfather ran a pub.

Have a look at www.kent.gov.uk

You might find them on www.historicaldirectories.org depending on the time period (latest directories on there tend to be about 1910s or so)

1913 directory of Kent has the Railway Tavern, Wm Hy Faircloth, Alma Road, Sidcup.
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
