Just to put an age to this man-he was 34 years and 11 months when he attested in 13 July 1915. 6th Irish regiment. So born c1880. His address was then 24 Keegan Street Belfast. His wife Sarah was living at this address.
Edward also stated he had previously been in the Dorset Regiment.
Are you just wanting information for this man after his demob?

Many thanks Crisane, That's my Great Uncle Edward and Great Aunt Sarah nee Morgan Edward's Father was also called Edward. I have a marriage cert for them married in 1913 in St Malachys Rc Church Belfast, sadly they had a son called Edward who was born late 1913 and died a few days later I can't find anymore in Ireland info on them after 1920.  also if you have any details of his being in the Dorset Regiment id greatly appreciate it.

If you think he is in England in 1939, then his exact date of birth would be useful to try and find him in the census.

If the information is accurate:
'34 years and 11 months when he attested in 13 July 1915.'
then born around August 13th 1880, I suppose. (I do not have full access to 1939)

Searching online for the last address (1920-21) in his military papers (54 Abercrombie Street Landport Portsmouth) indicates that this address may have been his family home, eg.:

- http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/229114-serjeant-ben-roberts-45th-royal-fusiliers-north-russia/
- http://www.memorialsinportsmouth.co.uk/war-graves/kingston/n-r.htm

So possibly born England as well. Armed with this added detail you could check the censuses for this family.
