Looked at death and thought wrong people but then thought did they use husbands name rather than fathers due to some confusion.
I've lost count of the number of times I've seen some version of the husband's/wife's name as a parent's name on a death registration. Always worth exploring, even if they only seem vaguely right - at best, deaths will be registered by children or grand-children, who may never have known their grandparents or great-grandparents - at worst, the registrants may be in-laws or neighbours, who are even less likely to know for sure
