From The Moy Parish Registers
« on: Friday 07 April 17 11:36 BST (UK) »
I had two questions about the following Excerpt from the Moy register for births and baptisms.

I can translate most of it (I think), it should read something like...

"Thos of Thos Kelly and Alais Hughes"

the second line appears to say...

"Ann Hughes ... Ann Kelly"

So I have two questions,

1. What does the second line say? And who were these people likely to be, god parents? (Unless I've got it wrong and they are an unrelated entry  :o)

2. What is the address on the second line on the far right, looks like 18 Drumroy? Bearing in mind this was from the Moy parish register.

Thanks for looking

***EDIT: Found a clearer source which I have added***

The main part says,

Thom[as] f[ilius] Tho[ma]s Kelly et Alais Hughes
Sp[onsors] Hen[ricu]s Hughes et An[n]a Kelly

Can't see what the last bit is - what sort of date is this?

Oh sponsors. That's interesting. Is that another way of putting god parents?

The date is 1818 (apr 14th)

I'd need to search out the full page to get the context but I'd say the number doesn't have anything to do with the family as such probably just someone counting the entries.
The last word is likely the townland they lived in.
