Moy Baptism Entry Help
« on: Saturday 08 April 17 21:54 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with translating the following excerpt...

Also does anyone know why NB is written in the margin for this entry? Its from April 1850, in the Moy (Clonfeacle) parish register for births and baptisms.

Thanks

Edit: New link added... http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0199

The NB and arrow has obviously written later in a different hand.  Does this appear on any other entries in this register, if so that could help to work out what it is a abbreviation for.  Otherwise could it be the standard abbreviation for Nota Bene (note well), although if that's the case I'm not sure if you could ever work out who wrote it or why.

John of Mick Kelly & Margaret Butler (?)
sponsors John and Alice Kelly.

Lots of things have been written in margins later. It could have been someone previously looked for info on that couple. I wouldn't read too much into it.

The page in question http://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632515#page/36/mode/1up
As Dublin1850 said their is a lot of marks in the margins of the pages, the NB looks like it was added later.
