The immediate help given by Dathai & Aghadowey is much appreciated and is one of the great features of RootsChat that some people are always willing to put their own time into helping others by doing research on their behalf.
In retrospect, I probably should have given more background to explain my interest in this particular family. Recently, I undertook DNA ethnicity testing & downloaded the raw data to GEDmatch, resulting in many matches, one of whom being a descendant of Edward & Bridget Farrell, so we are trying to find the connection to my ancestors, John & Catherine Farrell from the Parish of Kilcock, in northern Co. Kildare (the subject of a previous post on RootsChat in the Kildare sub-forum). Perhaps John is an uncle of Edward? This is why my question sought information as to "ancestors and relatives in Ireland", rather than in the US; this is not to say that US records are not helpful, in fact the records of the deaths of Edward & Bridget could be helpful with names of parents, and a descendant in the US could even have the answer to my question.
