I'm in search of the Burton family and more

Hi all, my surname is Burton, I'm the daughter of Terence A Burton and Carole Askew. His parents were John Burton and Irene May Briggs. John's parents were Robert Burton and Ada Ireland. Robert's parents were John Burton and Mary Pickering. John's parents were Matthew Burton and Elizabeth Welburn. That's how far I've got to on the Burton's. I would be so grateful of any help please and thank you.

Could you please give us some dates of birth and where they were born, bearing in mind not to put any information on anyone who is still living, so that we can help you further.

The earliest couple, Matthew and Elizabeth Welbourn were married in 1838.

Most of the couples married in Driffield Registration District.

My grandparents John Burton (10/06/1910 - 20/07/1986) and Irene May Briggs (14/05/1909 - 15/05/1991) they married on the 22/02/1930 at Driffield.
My great grandparents were Robert Burton (1875 - ?1916) and Ada Ireland (15/12/1877), they married 08/01/1896 at Driffield.
My 2x GG were John Burton (03/09/1844 - ??/12/1915) and Mary Pickering (13/05/1844 - 1891) they're married 16/12/1865 Driffield.
My 3x GG were Matthew Burton (?????? - 20/09/1850) and Elizabeth Welburn (21/08/1805 - 02/10/1869) they married 15/10/1838 Garton on the Wolds.

Possible family on 1841 Census Garton, Ganton on the Wolds, Driffield Union
Mathew Burton born 1811 Yorkshire with Wife Elizabeth & Children.


1851 Census North End, Great Driffield
Elizabeth Burton  born 1806 Wetwang, Pauper Widow living with her is her Daughter Matilda Welbourn born 1831 Wetwang also William, Richard & John.

Possible Baptism for Mathew Burton 4/3/1811 Thirkleby Yorkshire, Father Mathias Burton, Mother Rebecca
