I am hoping there is someone who can assist me in with information in regards to my 5 x Great Grandfather's wife Jane Vickars. Thomas Matcham and Jane Vickars married on  31 July 1768 in Petham Kent. She was his first wife who died around 1773. They had 4 children:

Thomas b. 1769 Petham,
Mary b. 1771, Petham
Liddy b. 1772, Petham
John b. 1773, Petham
 
To date I have been unable to find out when and where she was born or who her parents were. I'm guessing she is possibly from Petham/Crundale areas of Kent. I have even tried different variations of VICKARS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Jane Vicars baptised 2 Feb 1741, to Thomas & Sarah at Waltham St Bartholomew Kent. Waltham is only 2 miles from Petham?

 (Jane was buried in Crundale on 7 Dec 1773).

I just had a look at the Canterbury Burials Transcription for Crundale, St Mary the Virgin and it states "Jane, wife of Thomas Matcham, am of Waltham Petham"

Other children of Thomas & Sarah baptised at St Bartholomew Waltham:
Sarah 1731,
Thomas 1733,
Thomas 1735,
Elizabeth 1734,
John 1739,
James 1739,
William 1743,
Catherine 1746,
Stephen 1748.

The most likely marriage is Thomas Vicars to Sarah Nash, 17 Oct 1730 at Littlebourne, St Vincent.
