I don't know if this post will be allowed feel free to let me know due to the dates I'm after,im looking for the marriage of Patrick Carroll and Violet Ward around Lanchester from around 1916 any help would be appreciated tia

I can see the birth registration of ten children born to a Carroll/Ward combination in Lanchester from 1918 to 1933.  But I cant see any marriage in any combination of their names anywhere.

Perhaps some more information about them would be helpful.

Where were they born and parents and siblings names?
Where did they live in 1911 and maybe 1939?
Did Patrick serve in WWI and where?
Could he have brought the wife home from the war?

My own feeling is Ireland. I have no other thoughts other than Ireland.

Tried again and I am changing my mind to Patrick's father being being born in Ireland. There are more than one possible fathers. Certainly there is a possibility of Patrick being born in Consett or thereabouts. The Irish were very dominant in the area.

If Patrick or the Carroll/Ward children were baptized in the Roman Catholic faith it would possibly be at this Church.

Looking on FreeBMD for Carroll/Ward birth registrations I can find 10 registered Lanchester starting with John in 1920 and Ending with Josephine 1933. I have found six of those children on the 1939 Register living as a family in Consett with a couple I presume to be their parents John born 1883 and Mary born 1893.

There is also a Patrick Carroll with wife Violet living in Consett at the same time but they were born 1913 and 1910 respectively.

John and Mary Carroll (nee Ward) mentioned in the previous post married in Lanchester in 1916.

The Patrick Carroll also mentioned with wife Violet appear to have married in Gateshead in 1934. Her maiden name was Curry.
