Hi all,
I have been reading about all the Duncan McRae's on this forum but I didn't find the Duncan I am after (it is a very popular name!!)

Duncan McRae was born in 1832 in Dingwall, Scotland. He died on 19 MAR 1880 at Gooramadda Road, Rutherglen, Victoria, Australia.
Father: Duncan McRae (I am unable to find any info on him)
Mother: Margaret (unknown maiden name and no info on her)

If anyone had any info on this line it would be very much appreciated.

So its a possibility that Ross was her maiden name.. but I think its strange that its the 4th child mind you Walter is the first male born.

This is a high possibility. Would be really good to get a copy of his marriage certificate to Margaret McKenzie.

I agree, the naming pattern seems to be in reverse (if the ones I posted are correct) which did happen but Walter is a bit of an enigma
