Joseph Edmonds son of John Edmonds missionary in the Bay of Islands

I am looking for more information on Joseph Edmonds, son of John Edmonds. A few websites give different births years ranging from 1836 to 1844 in Kerikeri. I have also found 3 marriages listed in the BMD in NZ. One to Felicia Tremain in 1872. This is confirmed to be Joseph as I found the announcement in the paper mentioning his father John. Felicia died in 1875. The next marriage is to Annie Coyle in 1878. I know this is also the correct Joseph Edmonds. There is a third marriage record for a marriage in 1884 to Anne Lonergan. I can't find anything more on this marriage in the newspaper. I do know that Annie Coyle was still alive at this time although eventually she filed for divorce in Sydney bc he abandoned the family. I suspect this might be the same man as the last name Lonergan is a familiar one to the family. I know I can buy the certificate but was hoping to find the information without having to buy it. Thanks for the help!

*  Did any of the children of Joseph and Annie (or Joseph's 1st wife ?) remain in New Zealand ?

Hi Lu,
Joseph died in Sydney in 1917. The divorce was in Trove in 1901-Sydney. The kids were Joseph William, Laura and Fredericka all born in New Zealand.

The following is about ruling out "the possible third NZ marriage of a Joseph EDMONDS to Anne (Annie) LONERGAN - 1884".

Just briefly, this particular Joseph EDMONDS, a publican, died in Dunedin in 1888. 
[He had a child, Ellen Ida EDMONDS with wife Annie.  Annie also raised three stepdaughters, the children of Joseph's former marriage, namely Ann Jane (bc 1875), Thirza (bc 1877) and Mary Ellen EDMONDS, who appear to have had a mother named, Mary Ann.   

Info mainly from the (lengthy  ) Probate file of Annie EDMONDS - d. 1904.  Image # 148 gives confirmation that Annie's former name was LONERGAN.
