Freestone family
« on: Friday 27 October 17 17:23 BST (UK) »
Hello All
I need help to find parents/siblings of Christopher Freestone (Friston) 1718-1752  I cannot find a birth record for him but have marriages to Lettice Freeman 1719-1738, born and died in Studycamps Cambridge and Sarah Hailes 1718-1751.  Christopher died in Horseheath, Cambridgeshire.  Some of his children were also born here.  I have found some Freestones in Suffolk, Norfolk and Yorkshire but cannot link them to the Freestones that I am researching.
Any help would be much appreciated
Regards
Sharon

Where did his year of birth come from? Have you checked the actual parish registers for a baptism?

Thanks for your reply, Gibel
I have found no actual parish register for his birth, only his marriage and death.  The information may have come from others who are also researching him and while it may not be entirely reliable, it seems feasible, looking at the other information on the family tree, that the date is not too ridiculous to be discounted.
Since my post, I've checked on various sites and members have suggested that the Freestones/Fristons of Cambridge came from Suffolk.  Again, I don't  have the evidence to support this, but it is a lead that may be worth pursuing.
There is a record of a Thomas Friston son of Christopher and Mary born Aug 19th 1718 in Withersfield, Suffolk.   ???
