Hello Sandra , is there any evidence of Ivy Pearl Prout or Pearce visiting England from Canada or USA at all please . I think she went out from England in 1911

Thanks , its interesting to see " British Bonus Allowed "  never seen that before and not sure what it means . I still wonder if she returned for a visit though

George Pearce Died on Tuesday
George Pearce, beloved husband of Ivy Pearl Pearce, 910 First Street South, passed away at the Kenora General Hospital Tuesday, August 12, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Somerset, England, he was 67 years old.  He came to Western Canada in 1910 and to Kenora in 1911.  He entered the services of the CPR as a wiper, was promoted to fireman in 1913 and to engineer in 1930, retiring June 1, 1956.  He was a member of the Anglican Church, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Pequonga Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his widow, he survivied by two sons, George of Winnipeg and Albert of California; three sisters and a brother in England and one brother of Lyleton, Manitoba.  Two grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Brown Funeral Home, Saturday August 10 at 2 pm.  Canon L. M. Watts will officiate and interment will be in the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.  There will be a Masonic graveside service

Winnipeg Free Press - 19 June 1984

George William Pearce died suddenly at his residence on June 16 1984.  Husband of Grace.  His mother Ivy of Kenora survives him.
Born in Kenora in 1920. George served in the Lake Superior Regiment in WW2.  After the war, he resumed employment with the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railroad) in Kenora.  George moved to Winnipeg in 1953 and was Executive Director of the Home Welfare Association for 16 years.  Later, worked for the Coast Guard Division of the Ministry of Transport.  Interment St. John's Cathedral Cemetery.
