Abingdon - LEY
« on: Wednesday 03 August 05 14:32 BST (UK) »
Edwin Ley, my g/g/grand father was born in Abingdon in about 1802. He was the son of a Doctor, Hugh Ley, MD and Elizabeth Halse. I am interested in finding his exact date of birth.
His brother Hugh Ley also born in Abingdon in about 1790. Am looking for his date of birth and marriage. He became a doctor and died on 23.1.1837 in Stilton, Huntingdonshire.
Many thanks

1791 April 14th Hugh s/o Mr Hugh & Eliza Ley
1794 May 12th John Morgan son of Mr Hugh & Elizabeth Ley
1797 March 15th Emma d/o Mr Hugh & Elizabeth Ley
1800 June 18th Amelia Sage d/o Mr Hugh & Elizabeth Ley
1805 March 6th Edwin s/o Mr Hugh & Elizabeth Ley - born 18th June 1902

valan,

I know its a long shot as you haven't apparently been online for a year, but  John Morgan Ley (Edwin Ley's elder brother) is my gggg grandfather and I have a bit of info on the family, albeit a little sketchy. Let me know if you're still interested!
