Finding a death date for William Jordan b1858, Walworth, London
« on: Wednesday 15 November 17 09:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi there

I am looking for a death entry to find the date and place of death for;

William Jordan
b 1858, Walworth, London

Parents;
Frederick Jordan b1831 in Walworth, London
Mary Ann Steel b1827 in Camberwell, London

Spouse;
Jessie Sally Rock
b 10 September 1855 in London
m 14 May 1885 Mile End, London
d 1915 Islington, London

The last time i can see him on the census is in 1901 with his complete family; then in 1911 he is not with his wife and children...however Jessie is still listed as married.

Can anyone help find either where William Jordan went to in 1911 or help me find a death date?

Many Thanks.

Hello,

We can’t give much information re 1911 but indexes show W. Jordan b 1858, Bermondsey, in the indexes which you might want to look at.

Thank you for your replies. That moves his death date to after 1911 then; interesting he was kept in that institution. Just to find his entry now, there doesn't seem to be any matching ages on the Death registers; bearing in mind they have his age perfectly on the 1911 census...meaning surely his patient file had the correct Date Of Birth.

EDIT:

I seem to have found the correct entry...
