Catherine Taylor Dickson 1855

Hi,

Any help gratefully received!

All I have is Catherine Taylor was born 18th March 1819 in Haddington and baptised on 28th March. She is the daughter of Peter Taylor & Rachel Dunbar.

Peter Taylor was born 10th October 1793 in Haddington and was baptised on 20th October at Aberlady parish church. Peter married Rachel  Dunbar, daughter of William Dunbar (1759 – 1840) and Catherine Patterson (1760 – 1836), on 8th February 1818.

That's it. Sometimes I find people just don't want to be found (or rather I can't find them!). Same with Catherine's brother, George, born 1831. I have nothing on him, either.

PS When was George born as I can see one in 1871/81 married b 1833?

Hi,

By 1841 Catherine would have been 22 so she could have died or married and/or moved on. I have George being born in 1831 which would tie in with the census age given.

I couldn't find any obvious early burials for Catherine.  I've started going through the 1851 for a Cath* born 1819 +/-1  Haddington  - will take a while and not sure if I've got the time

Hi again, ok but just to point out the George in 1871/81 appears to marry twice and born Haddington, his second son was a  Peter b 1868 Edinburgh

George down as a bachelor in 1855 so that was a first marriage. His father was an Andrew.
