Thompson/Rhodes marriage

I am looking for the marriage of William Thompson to Mary Ann Rhodes in 1943 in Dudley, Staffs. I am trying to find Williams birth and am hoping his fathers name appears on the record so I can trace fathers marriage and cross reference with mothers maiden name on birth registers. Any info will be much appreciated thank you x

The marriage certificate should give you some  of the information you seek and pointers to other areas for research. Perhaps the witnesses may give you a clue.

thank you both for your responses. I think it was St Thomas' . The tree belongs to my brother in law so will speak to him re the certificate x

From www.westmidlandsbmd.org.uk the marriage took place at Dudley Register Office.  You will therefore need to purchase the certificate to obtain further information.

Do you know when and where he died?  If he died 1969 onwards his full birthdate should be shown on his death reg.
