BAWDESWELL 1851 CENSUS LOOKUP

Hi,

I am searching for SARAH ANN BARRETT (BARRITT) born about 1842 in

BAWDESWELL, NORFOLK and any of her family members. Please would

somebody kindly lookup the 1851 census for me. It is likely that SARAH

BARRETT lives in or close by to BAWDESWELL. I believe that her

grandfather was WILLIAM BARRETT who was the landlord

of the BLACKHORSE public house in 1851.

Have checked the 1851 census for Barrett of Bawdeswell and there was only one birth there in 1833 for a William  Barrett, have included all the Sarah Ann  Barrett's born in Norfolk around the time you want,there are no Sarah Ann  Barrett's born 1842,I hope they help.

Thank you very much indeed for looking at the 1851 census.

I did not have the 1851 information for WILLIAM and wife PHYLIS

BARRETT before.

Strangely WILLIAM claims to have been born in FELTHORPE in the

1851 census but in SCULTHORPE in the 1861 census.  Perhaps it is a

confused misreading of the original census returns.

I am really surprised that SARAH ANN BARRETT is not to be found in

the BAWDESWELL census or even in NORFOLK. This is a real puzzle!

Here is what I know so far, SARAH ANN BROWN (nee BARRETT) gives her

place of birth as BAWDESWELL in all of the 1861-1901 UK censuses.

In the GRO index I found a SARAH ANN BARRETT birth in the Oct - Dec

quarter 1841 in MITFORD (registration district including BAWDESWELL).

Also found her marriage on 25 Dec 1859 to JAMES BROWNE in the

parish church of BAWDESWELL, NORFOLK.

Her father is recorded here as a WILLIAM BARRETT who is a shoemaker.

I am hoping to locate SARAH ANN BARRETT in the period 1841 - 1859.
