I am looking for the baptisms of Thomas Ansell and Elizabeth Lofts who married in Babraham in Feb 1789.

There is a burial in Babraham 1835 for Thomas Mansell which gives a year of birth as 1756. In Little Abington ( 2miles from Babraham) there is this

Thomas Ansell baptised 5 June 1757 Little Abington son of James & Margaret Ansell

A possible for Elizabeth going by a burial for Elizabeth Ansell in Babraham gave a birthyear of 1769

In Sawston ( 5 miles from Babraham)

Elizabeth baptised 16 April 1770 Sawston daughter of John & Elizabeth Lofts.

That burial confirms my thoughts and that  his parents are James Ansell & Margaret Keith who married in Babraham in 1742 I just need to find the baptism of Elizabeth Lofts and then start looking for James and Margret's baptisms.

Elizabeth baptised 16 April 1770 Sawston daughter of John & Elizabeth Lofts.

I don''t want to spoil the fun of researching, David, so you might want to check FreeReg where you will find a marriage for John and Elizabeth in 1769 in Sawston.

No LOFTS (including spelling variants) baptisms in Babraham, so Sawston looks a good bet.
