Hello, hoping someone may be able to elucidate me to which family James William Arthur Bird, b 1911 in Bromley belongs. I have the possibility of him being the son of William James Bird and Emily Tubb, or the son of James Bird and Amelia Elmsley. All were resident in Bromley at that time, but because of his date of birth, I'm having problems working out which one he belongs to. My James WA marries Vera Hodder in 1934 in Paddington. I have later children, from 1914, for WJ Bird and Emily, and earlier children, 1906 and 1908 for James Bird and Amelia.
Any help would be gratefully received!

When in 1911 (which qtr) was the birth?

In case you were not aware it is now possible to search the GRO index for birth registrations prior to 1916 and they will give mothers maiden surname. The information shown is as Pauline's post
