Help with two words from 1925 German death record
« on: Wednesday 24 January 18 07:51 GMT (UK) »
Could someone please tell me what the word before Hermann is, and the word after Erfurt.  This record is from Heiligenstadt Heilbad.

Many thanks.

It's likely to be a street address after Erfurt, and by comparison with other letters helpfully deciphered by Dave, it appears to begin with Da-; then house number 1.

The Erfurt city website at http://www.erfurt.de/ef/en/index.html has a link to an interactive map where you can search for streets with their starting letters (field labelled Straßenname). Fortunately there aren't that many short/one word ones beginning Da-, and the most likely one seems to me to be Dammweg. You can then select an individual property (Hausnummer) and see it marked on the map, though I've no idea whether the numbering now is the same as it was then.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

I totally agree with Athurk.

This is Dammweg 1
