Mary Ann and Jane Borthwick b 1886 & c. 1890 Dalkeith & Leith

The above sisters were the daughters of Thomas Borthwick & Jane Veacock Tait and they all appear on the 1901 census at Tranent, East Lothian, their parents passed away 1920 in Edinburgh according to SP which is odd.
After 1901 they all disappear?

Death Mary Anna(?) T Borthwick(other surname Taylor) , age 67 , 1953 , Haymarket Midlothian.
