Terry at 24 Homsdale Grove, Barnehurst in 1944

Hi.
I am digitising and archiving my great aunt's letters. One of them is from 'Terry' at 24 Holmsdale Grove, Barnehurst Kent and was written on the 20th September 1944.
It is a short letter saying that he was being sent to the Continent to fight and that he might never return. It's so short and sad and I would love to find out who he was and if he returned. We have always wondered about romance in my aunt's past and this maybe someone she cared about.
Please does anyone know how to find out who was living at this address on this date so that I can track him through the RAF.

There's a Terence ANSTRUTHER at that address on the 1921 register. Born 1921.

From a few Ancestry trees he was born July 7 1921 Lambeth and died Jan 2005 Hull.

That's sounds a likely match, thank you. I didn't know that there was a register in 1921, there is so much to learn. If it is the right man then he survived which is brilliant and I can see if the family would like his letter - all brilliant, thank you
