WHICH NEWSPAPER ? IN 1878
« on: Friday 05 August 05 22:19 BST (UK) »
Hi all ,
Just wondered if someone could tell me which newspaper would cover Gt. Glen in 1878 i am trying to find the circumstances surrounding the death of WILLIAM NOSELEY age 27 , he was said to have been found dead in the water on 8th. March 1878 , which river / canal would this have been ? i am thinking that there would have been some write up in the local newspaper at the time .
          regard's    Gail

Greeting's Again Gail......

The " River Sence " runs through the Village ....
and then the Grand Union Canal is not that far away
Has for which New's paper that would have been in use
at the time...... I'm afraid I don't know ...
But if you would like to give the Records Office at Wigston
a ring
Tel :- 0116 257 1080.
Then I'm sure they would be able to answer that one.....
and they might have it on over head projector film ...
