Parents of Robert Martindale

I'm looking for the parents of Robert Martindale. He was born around 1892 in the Gateshead, Durham area.

Jun 1891 Whitehaven mothers maiden name Walker

Sep 1892 Prescot mothers maiden name Davies

Jun 1893 Tynemouth mothers maiden name Richardson

Note the last one has a middle name Ruthven

Is there anything else you know about him that might help like occupation, marriage, death.

unfortunately this is oral history from a now departed aunt.

All we know extra about him that he was married in 1913 Gateshead, Durham to Margaret Drummond.
They has two children Robert and Adalaine

He died in 15/02/64

That's ok you have the marriage to go on so a copy of the marriage certificate would be a start to find out the name/occupation of his father and witnesses names can be helpful if they were relations.

The name Adalaine could be a clue if she was named after a member of his family.

Just searched up the place suggestions in your first post, the Tynemouth one sounds the most likely.
I'll order the certificate and see.

There's a Robert Martindale b c1892 with a Margaret Jane b c1892, Robert b 1916 and 1 other living in Felling, Co Durham [Gateshead district] in 1939

Also in Felling is a John Martindale b c1883 and Isabella  and a William Martindale b c1888

John & Isabella are there in 1911 - he's b Egremont, Cumbria

Have you looked for him on the 1939 register as his full DoB may be shown which could help determine which birth entry he is.

The Robert and Margaret Jane sound spot on, and the 1891 and 1901 info  sounds promising.

Definitely something to work on whilst I wait for the certificate.

Only just learnt about the 1939 register, but know nothing about where or how to access this.

The 1939 register is only available on FindMyPast which is a subscription site.  Rootschat do not allow requests for look ups and info from the register cannot be posted other than what is available on the free index
