Hi all,
I am helping a friend so trying to avoid buying certificates. I am trying to trace parents of James Bonser b. 27 May 1920/22 in Nottingham.
I know he married Hilda Gilson.
I have a possibility with William Bonser and wife Fanny Buttery but cant find connections.
Will buy certificates if we have to but grateful for any help in the meantime
thanks...........bigjon

This looks like a possible birth
James Bonser
Mother's Maiden Surname: Cavers
Apr-May-Jun 1920
Nottingham Volume 7b, p745
There are a number of potential siblings b 1915-25 . Can't find an obvious marriage for the parents, but it could be that the mother was previously widowed and married under that surname

If you can, have a look at the 1939 register.
Meanwhile
Birth
Betsy Ann D Cavers Sep 1889 Nottingham 7b 373
Marriage
Betsy Ann D Cavers/George William Flint Dec 1907 Nottingham 7b 835
Death
George W Flint Sep 1910 Nottingham 7b 155 age 33
Marriage
Betsy A D Flint/James Bonser Sep 1917 Nottingham 7b 755
The James Bonser with parents William and Fanny was born in October 1920 so can be discounted.
