The other people buried in the plot are Henry Clarke d 1887 aged 64, Eliza Ann Clarke d 1899 aged 70, and a Mrs. Mary Kennedy d 1880 aged 25......I am guessing that the two older one's are Samuel James Clarke's parents, so he is probably not our man.

Thank you for that, it looks increasingly unlikely that this Samuel Clarke is our man.....I still believe that his parents were Bernard Clarke and Sarah Allan.
