Well this forum seems to have dried up a bit  , so I will start to dig out my old pics that need some TLC, but it's much more fun fixing other peoples.

Yes Ken, it has been quiet for a while. Things may start to pick up now that the membership is climbing at an almost exponential rate.
I have been fairly busy myself the last few weeks so I haven't been able to give as much time as usual. Hopefully Things will start to get back to normal soon.

Well I have to say you have done a pretty good job on bringing up the detail on the faces. I'm looking forward to your final version.

Using Photoshop created layers to adjust brightness etc, cut out sky and added sun and ink dropped gradient colour. I straightened the horizon using free rotate. Oh yes, pasted a second copy of the original on top to replace the fuzzy fingers.

It's difficult to get quality results with such small images.
I wanted to bring out the women's features.

Your not wrong about the small size. You just know that with a good high res scan this photo could be so much better. If you cropped this photo down to just one face you would see that the pixel depth is pretty small. In the cropped version below you can see that there is only 85x87 pixels which is almost nothing. It's a wonder a decent image can be produced with so little information.
