Hi RTL,I can trace the Minnie that married in SS as living in Whitburn, she's with her family in 1901
and 1911 when my Minnie is in Gateshead 1901 and Heworth 1911,the very few other's sharing her
name around the country who married I can sort of trace a birth for it was just the Devon marriage
Minnie cropped up yesterday from nowhere I thought war work might have taken her there as my
aunt(her niece) and her husband although both from Gateshead married in Warwickshire in 1943
we presume due to war work.
Steve.

By the way, there are some J. Kirton photos showing on the Illustrated Chronicle website.  Don't know if any might be yours but it might be worth a look Steve if you haven't already.  Some changed regiment.

Hi Steve

Can't help with Minnie, sorry, but in case you had looked at the 1921 and been unable to find John, his Mam and her second husband its worth another search. I'd spotted them all in the same house but incorrectly transcribed
I'd sent in an error report and they have now corrected it.

Boo

Many thank's Boo I did download a good few sheets after buying credit's but couldn't find the info
you metion I think it was yourself that found them in the electoral rolls and sent me the info.Of all
the branches of the family this one is the most confusing with so many questions that may never
get anwered,Minnie simply disappear's after the 1911 Census I've exhausted every avenue now,
I'd love to know how her mother re-married in 1908 yet her father was still alive in 1911 albeit
in Bensham workhouse/asylum and why her Mother and Stepfather who died in Gateshead in the 30's are recorded as Woodhouse when it should be Woolhouse plus neither buried in any Gateshead Cemeteries!

Hi Boo,Robert died September qtr 1937 age 61 which is exact for his 1870 birth.Sarah Ellen died
Dec qtr 1936 registered in Morpeth(maybe Stannington Hospital?) aged 70 witch is correct for her birth 1866.I looked into Gateshead and Saltwell cemetery registers neither recorded.Stannington is a pure guess as Gateshead sent it Mentally it residents there as Bensham asylum was closed. The death's are under the name Woodhouse.

We aren't allowed to post info from the 1939 register in here but I would recommend you look for this couple, living in Northumberland,  in the register to see their address in 1939:-)
